Only 2 transfers left?! What?

Hey  everyone! Time is flying so fast! Here we are already getting ready to start the month of October! How crazy! This week has been great! We were able to help put Kathrene on date for October 14th! She is so cute! We ended up meeting her mom on the road and her mom stops us and is holding these princess looking shoes in her hand and she says "Look i got Kathrene some church shoes!" Oh man i just wanted to let out a little chuckle, they were pink and silver with glitter all over them! They just were not 18yr. old girl shoes! But I was so happy to see that her mom was supporting her! Her mom is starting to be more welcoming to us and she is always taking care of us as if we are her own kids! It is amazing how this gospel changes people! We are hoping to start teaching her whole family soon!

So here are some of the things that happened through out the week:
-I had to come all the way to Pohnpei to eat my very first Deer..yes there are deer on Pohnpei
- One of my favorite scriptures Alma 23:6
-"It's not about trying to be like others, its about trying to be like him." This was my favorite quote that i read this week meaning if were going to compare ourselves to someone and look for ways to improve, always look to our Savior!
-We went and passed our Book of Mormons in another area and we went on splits, we ended up walking through the jungle and getting lost, but thank goodness I was with Nohno Kalieo (stake Presidents wife) who knew her way around!
- A member fed Sister Russell and i chicken curry and we each took a piece and took a bite, yeah i bit into straight fat and bone, then i look over at Sister Russell and she is feeling the same way i am so she just holds her chicken in her had and tried to hide it so no one could see she didn't eat it, we got ready to go and we both had the piece of chicken in our hands but some how needed to get rid of it so that we could hug them and shake hands hahah oh man i was laughing so hard we both ended up being able to throw it away but it was just funny! We both just held the chicken for about 5 min!

Anyways thats a little look in the the missionary life on Pohnpei! I hope you all have a great week! Thanks  for all of your love and support!

what are scabies?

Hey everyone! How was your week!? This week was another weird week! So i am just going to do some of the main things that happened through out the week!

-Tuesday I was able to go back to Uh and visit my families there! It was so fun! We ate dinner with Nohno Kapi and she told us about her conversion story and about how she was in to drugs and stuff! Oh man we were all just laughing, it felt like a real family dinner! So if you ever get a chance feed the missionaries because it makes them feel like they are at home for an hour!
- Our shoes that got stolen..yeah we definetly broke into their house and stole them back😏
- Haha jokingly i tripped Sister Russell in our house and she about broke our window and fell through it. Ha so i guess mom was right, don't mess around in the house...lesson learned!
- We had a fire side last night and the new elder gave his talk in English and decided to close his testimony in Pohnpeian so he says "In the name of..Amen" And goes to sit down and then realized he didn't say "In the name of Jesus Christ, amen" Runs back to the microphone and says "Jesus Christ" ahahahah oh man everyone just started laughing!
- Our investigator Kathrene told us that she is going to get baptized but she doesn't know when! She was able to come to church with us this week so that was a huge blessing! Oh man i just love her so much!
- SCABIES..Hah one Sister ended up having Scabies so we all ended up having to do a scabies treatment, honestly i didn't think that that would ever happen!

Sorry it is so short but I am so grateful for all of you and all of your support! I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to serve on Pohnpei! I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ! I love it with all my heart! I am grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and that through him we can all become better! I love you all so much! Have a great week!

HEY HEY HEY!

Hey everyone! How was your week?! This week has been another slow week! My Companion was sick so we didn't get to do much proselyting! We went on exchanges though and I went with Sister Leslie to her area, we went and taught this lady named CC, oh man what a lesson! Ha I asked her if she knew who Peter, James and John were and she said that she didn't know them because they were white! Oh man i just had to laugh it off and then i asked her another question and she said the exact same response! Ha i look at Sister Leslie and she didn't really know what to say! Ha turns out they went back the next day and she basically told them to leave! haha oh well one day she'll let them come back!

We were able to start teaching Kathrene again! She is our crazy prepared investigator! We taught her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ yesterday and invited her to be baptized and she said that she really wants to its just that her mom doesn't agree with it! So we are hoping that her moms heart can be softened!

Yesterday we went to another branch on the island, the Kitti (Kitcheee) Branch! It has just been a really long time that there haven't been any sisters there so our mission president sent us there to cheer up the branch a little bit! So that was way fun! It reminded me of when i was in the Uh Branch!

Sorry not much to say this week! Hopefully some more stories next week! I hope that you are all doing great! I am so grateful for all of you and all of the support that you give me! Have a great week! Love you all!

Member took my shoes!

Hey everyone! This week was really kinda crazy! We were on Guam all week for MLC So we didn't get to do any proselyting in our area! We left Tuesday and got back on Friday! But when we got back Sister Russell was sick so we stayed in! Here are some funny stories for the week!

On Monday we went and had FHE with one of our members named Pohlo, she asked us if we wanted to play a game, not knowing what the game was i promised her i would play! The game is called Budget! So how it works is if the person you promise with asks you a questions and you answer yes or raise your eyebrows and they say budget they can take anything they want from you! Sooo me not knowing how to play the game she asked me a question and i said yes, and she yelled "BUDGET!!! Give me your hair elastic!" So i got a little up set and was like what the heck you cant do that you didn't even explain to me the game! Then after explaining it i gave her it. We were getting ready to leave and she asked me another question, i tried so hard not to even say anything because she had told me before that the next time she got me she was going to take my shoes! I ended up raising my eyebrows and she budgeted me once again! And this time said she was taking my shoes. Well we got out the door to leave and i start putting my shoes on and i look at Sister Russell and she goes "What are you doing? Shes taking our shoes!" HA then Pohlos sister comes and says "Pohlo their taking their shoes!" Pohol came running, took our shoes and put them in the house and thats how our night ended, we walked back to our care shoe less! So thank goodness my mom send another pair of crocs that day! SO the lesson learned in this story dont promise to join anything until you understand the game!

On the bright side of things, i got to eat panda express 4 times this week in Guam! The whole time we were there i just kept telling Sister Russell man i want to eat some Pohnpeian food! Well we were at church yesterday and one of our members says "I want to feed you tonight!" SO i was pretty stoked! We got to her house yesterday and she uncovers the food! Oh man my heart kinda sank, i saw a big yellow yoke egg and rice pieaha haha not my favorite pohnpeian food at all but its okay i was blessed to have one of the elders eat most of it for me! Ha lesson learned in this story is be careful what you ask for you might just get it, but not in the way you thought!

I hope everything is going well at home! One of my favorite scriptures for this week is Mosiah 2:41 I hope you all have a chance to read it! Thanks for all the love and support! Have a great week! Love you!
