It's The Final Count Down.. My Last days on Pohnpei.....

A mission is a strange experience
It is a trial and a test.
A mission throws at you the worst
Yet, teaches you the best.
I've never been so happy,
I've never been so depressed.
I've never felt so forsaken,
I've never felt so blessed.
I've never been so confused,
Things have never been so clear.
I've never felt my Heavenly Father so distant,
He's never been so near.
I've never been so discouraged,
I've never been so full of hope.
I feel I could go on for forever,
I think I've come to the end of my rope.
I've never had it quite so easy,
I've never had it quite so tough.
Things have never been so smooth,
Things have never been so rough.
I've never traveled through more valleys,
I've never ascended more peaks.
I've never met so many nice people.
I've never met so many freaks!
I've never had so many ups,
I've never had so many downs.
I've never worn so many smiles,
I've never had so many frowns.
I've never been so lonely,
I've never had so many friends.
BOY, I hope this is over soon,
GOSH, I hope this never ends.

Menseng Mwahu!  I got on to my email this morning and this is the email I had received from my Dad! This explains exactly how a mission goes! I am beyond grateful for this opportunity that i have had to be able to serve a mission in the Micronesia Guam Mission! Had someone told me my senior year that I would serve a mission I would have laughed and said never! I know that Heavenly Father has perfect timing and a perfect plan for each and everyone of us! I have seen his hand in his work! I love this work! I love my  Pohnpeian Family! I never thought i could grow to love someone so much that I knew for such a short amount of time!  I have seen so many miracles and so many blessings come from this work! I have learned that the key to loving people is to serve them! I am so grateful for each and everyone of you! I am grateful for the many prayers, letters and packages that i have received! I will be having my home coming talk this coming Sunday the 17th at the Pella Ward @ 9:00 am for those who would like to come and attend! I am so grateful for all of you and all of your love and support! Have a great week! See you soon!

Love,
Sister Bowers

Blessed with Baptisms!!!

Hey everyone! Another week has come and gone! Time goes so fast now days, there is never enough time in the day to do anything! This week has been great! We were able to help our investigator and her member husband married so that was way cool to see! Her name is Sharren and her Husbands name is Georgie. When i very first got here in September last year Sister Fehoko and I started teaching her but she didn't really care to do anything! I come back to find out that she was going to church all by herself and Sister Milne thought she was a member! It has been cool to see her grow in the Gospel she is now pulling her husband back to church! We had her on date for baptism but we are going to have to push her back a little bit! I am just hoping that I will be able to see it before i leave!
We had Shakira and Sharoods baptism which was super fun! It is always so fun to see when people get baptized the less active members it can bring back! It was so funny we were walking back from the baptism and the road is coral as you can see in the pictures and sister milne had turned around to take a picture of all of us and some how slipped and her skirt came up but some how she managed to keep her self together, we all got a good laugh! And then behind me i hear the Elders whispering "Woah glad i wast looking up..i didn't see anything!" Hah i was honestly so impressed with how well she didn't flash anyone!
Church this week was incredible! We had 64 people at church! I have never felt so much joy! It honestly was hard for me to keep my emotions together! There were so  many people who have come back! That is probably the greatest joy is when the lost sheep come back in to the fold!
It was so funny we were sitting at the Polls house and their little daughter who is 8 and i had no idea she knew any English was talking to her little sister and says "Shut up!' ha Sister Milne and i looked at each other and i looked a the mom and we all just started laughing! Ha those were not the words i would have expected her to know in English! We laughed for a good while!

These two kids names are Shakira and Sharood! When i was here a year ago they were on date to get baptized but their family was still having a hard time to come to church! It has been amazing to see their aunt has returned to church and is preparing to receive a calling! Their grandma got up in church yesterday and shared her testimony and it was so powerful! It is so cool to see how Heavenly Father has perfect timing for everything!
Oh man well sorry this email is jumping around to but i hope you all have a great week! Thanks for all the prayers, love and support! Love you all so much!
